Health and Safety Re-Opening Procedures for Family Dentistry of Braintree

Hello!!!! We can’t wait to see all your smiling faces!

We hope everyone is doing well through this pandemic. This certainly has been an unprecedented time and continues to be challenging for everyone. We thank you for your patience during this time as we had to cancel all appointments per the recommendation of the Massachusetts Dental Society and the forced shut down in the state of Massachusetts.

As we start to see what the “new normal” might look like, we have designed a phased approach to opening the office, similar to what the State of Massachusetts is doing, with our biggest focus on patient and staff safety. The first phase will allow for a limited amount of patients to be seen in the office at one time.

During this time, we will be able to better assess what the second phase will look like. There are many variables to consider with each phase, again, patient and staff safety being the most important. While there may be changes you may immediately see when entering the office, there are many that you won’t, but we want you to be aware of them.

Here are some of the changes you can expect for an upcoming appointment:

  • A staff member will be contacting you the night before asking several questions regarding recent health and interactions with COVID-19.

  • You will also be asked these same questions when you arrive for your appointment.

  • We ask that when you arrive for your appointment to call the office from your car letting us know you have arrived.

  • We ask you remain in your car until a staff member comes to get you as our reception room will not be opened. There will be a sign at the door reminding you of this.

  • You must enter and exit the building wearing a mask or face covering. If you don’t have one, we will provide one for you.

  • We will meet you at the door while we take your temperature and give you hand sanitizer.

Here are some of the other significant changes we have been working on that you may not see upon entering:

  • The biggest and most important is a new state of the art HVAC/air purification system that includes a UVC light. Along with all our disinfectants to clean surfaces, this new system will allow for the air to be rid of all chemical and biological contaminants…yes, this means COVID-19. Please feel free to find more info on their website to get a better understanding of how this system works: Cleanairusa.us

  • We have removed all carpets on the clinical side of the office to further allow for the safest environment.

  • We are on an automatic shipment of all personal protective equipment (PPE) from our dental supplier, Sullivan-Schein. We are complying with all CDC recommended guidelines for PPE usage to allow us to treat patients safely.

All of us at Family Dentistry of Braintree are looking forward to seeing all of you.

Stay safe and healthy!!!
